Rain Rain Go Away

We woke up yesterday to rain again--boo!  We checked out and loaded up the car for our one hour ride north to Port Douglas.  About 20 minutes into the ride the weather cleared up and we were able to enjoy the gorgeous drive with the lush mountains on the left and beautiful coastline on the right.

We are staying in an apartment hotel so once we checked in, we head out for lunch and to find a grocery store. We are located on the main street so restaurants, stores and the 4 mile beach are right at our doorstep.   I was excited that the pub we stopped in for lunch had a salad on their menu--finally!!!!!  And it was really good.

This morning it was cloudy out but no rain.  We head up the coast for an hour to the Daintree Rainforest--the oldest rainforest on earth.  It was really beautiful, especially from a tower at the top of the trees (Glenn didn't walk up to the top with me as his fear of heights kicked in).
