BEACH TIME!

After our Sydney and Outback experience, we were ready for some beach time!  We head out on the southwest side of the penninsula that Exmouth is on to Turquoise Bay.  It has that name for a reason--a gorgeous long beach with clear beautiful water.

Ningaloo Reef was right in front of us.  The water was very cold and I decided not to go in even with my wet suit.

We spent about 4 hours at the beach--we had packed lunch to maximize our beach time!  We left around 3 and stopped at various beach sites on the way back up the coast to check out the views.  There was one beach that reminded us of the sand dunes in the outer banks--really pretty.

Tons of wallabies were out on our way back.  I was on the watch so that Glenn didn't hit any as they were often close to the road.

Along with the wallabies, there were termite hills all along the road, some of them significant in size!

We were told that the view from the Vlaming Head Lighthouse (no longer in use) was amazing especially at sunset.  It was amazing-one side of the penninsula we watched the sunset while on the other site the moon was bright in the sky.
